The United States has confirmed its participation in the Global Peace Summit, but it is still unknown who will represent the country, reports Reuters.
According to an anonymous source, the United States will participate in the summit, but he did not say who will represent the country and at what level.
Global Peace Summit
The Global Peace Summit is an international meeting at the level of leaders of countries, which is being prepared by Ukraine and Switzerland. The summit is scheduled for June 15-16 this year in the Swiss resort of Burgenstock near the city of Lucerne.
So far, representatives of more than 80 countries have confirmed their participation in the summit.
Today, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy personally invited US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping to the World Summit.
We have already written that neither the Chinese leader nor the US president has confirmed their participation in the event. In particular, China's chief diplomat, Wang Yi, may ignore the Global Peace Summit because he may attend the BRICS meeting that will take place at the same time.
