US Special Envoy for Ukraine, appointed by Trump, makes first statement
The US Special Envoy for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, made his first statement after the appointment and said he is ready to ensure “peace through strength", according to his X.
“I am honored by Donald Trump's appointment to serve as Assistant to the President and Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia. It was the privilege of my life working for President Trump,” he wrote.
According to Kellogg, he is looking forward to “working tirelessly to secure peace through strength while upholding America’s interests.”
“I am ready with the commitment and dedication it deserves,” the former military officer added.
Kellogg's appointment
On November 27, it became known that Keith Kellogg would take over as Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia.
Trump has been studying several proposals to end the war between Russia and Ukraine in recent days, including the proposal of General Keith Kellogg, whom Trump announced as his candidate for the post of special assistant.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, congratulating Trump on his election victory, said he appreciated his commitment to the “peace through strength” approach, which “can truly bring a just peace to Ukraine.”
