Democrats on the US House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform have released new emails from Jeffrey Epstein that mention Donald Trump, according to ABC News.

Three emails were published as the first batch out of nearly three thousand documents obtained by the Committee.

According to the correspondence released on November 12, convicted sex offender and now-deceased financier Jeffrey Epstein referred to Donald Trump as a dog that hasn’t barked yet and told his former associate Ghislaine Maxwell that a potential victim had spent hours at his house with Trump.

“He has never once been mentioned,” he added.

Maxwell responded, “I have been thinking about that ...”

This email was written in April 2011.

In another email dated January 31, 2019, addressed to journalist Michael Wolff, author of books about Trump’s presidency, Epstein stated that Trump had asked the financier to cancel his membership at Mar-a-Lago.

“Trump said he asked me to resign, never a member ever. Of course he knew about the girls as he asked Ghislaine to stop,” the published email reads.

The names of the victim(s) are not disclosed in these emails.

Donald Trump’s reaction

Shortly after the emails were released, US President Donald Trump posted on the social media platform Truth Social, claiming that the Democrats were using the emails to distract from their political failures.

“The Democrats are trying to bring up the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax again because they’ll do anything at all to deflect on how badly they’ve done on the Shutdown, and so many other subjects,” he wrote.

Who is Jeffrey Epstein

Jeffrey Epstein taught math and physics at the private Dalton School in Manhattan. In 1976, he founded the firm J. Epstein & Co. However, the financier became notorious for running a sex trafficking network catering to high-profile figures from around the world.

A key question remains the existence of Epstein’s contact list - people who may have been his clients. Public sources confirm that he interacted with Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, Woody Allen, Kevin Spacey, Tony Blair, Naomi Campbell, Michael Jackson, and Donald Trump.

Trump’s friendship with Epstein began in the 1980s, when they lived near each other in Florida. They frequently appeared together in public, and Trump, like many other prominent figures, flew on Epstein’s private plane multiple times.

Not everyone in Epstein’s circle was necessarily involved in his criminal activities; some had only business or social contacts with him. However, this association has fueled the most speculation.

Radical Trump supporters have long demanded that US authorities release the list, arguing it would show the involvement of the American cultural and political elite in these crimes. Trump himself leveraged these sentiments during his presidential campaign, promising to make such documents public.
