US President Donald Trump is considering new personnel changes in the administration after he fired US Attorney General Pam Bondi a day earlier, according to Politico.

According to sources, Trump expressed disappointment and frustration with the actions of Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer.

"He’s very angry and he’s going to be moving people," an administration official told Politico.

CNN added that additional potential measures are being taken following the resignations of Attorney General Pam Bondi on Thursday and former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

No final decision has been made yet regarding Chavez-DeRemer and Lutnick. Trump has previously considered firing them, but then backed away from the idea.

According to one official, the potential reshuffles are focused on Cabinet members whom Trump believes have not been performing their duties or have attracted too much negative attention.

CNN writes that if Trump does go through with Cabinet-level personnel changes, it could represent a serious attempt at a reset for an administration facing a troubling political environment.

Trump fires officials

Yesterday, April 2, Donald Trump fired Pam Bondi from her position as Attorney General. He did not give a reason for this decision, but the media wrote that the president was irritated by the negative reaction of his voters to the administration's actions in the Jeffrey Epstein case.

In August 2025, Trump fired the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics after an employment report. The document contained disappointing data.

Furthermore, in April 2025, it was revealed that Trump had fired several Security Council officials. Such advice was given to him by radical activist and conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer.
