US deploys F-15s to Middle East due to Iran's plans to attack Israel
The United States has deployed F-15 fighter jets to the Middle East due to Iran's plans to launch a new strike on Israel, citing The Times of Israel.
According to unconfirmed reports, at least 12 F-15E fighter jets were headed to Jordan, where they will join other American fighter aircraft.
Previously, Iranian officials repeatedly stated that their country would respond to Israel's October 26 strike, during which Iran's air defense systems and other targets were hit.
The Times of Israel reports that Iran’s strike could occur as soon as this week.
Iran’s attack on Israel
Earlier media reports suggested Iran might strike Israel from Iraqi territory.
Meanwhile, as reported by WSJ, citing an unnamed Iranian official, the attack planned by Tehran could be more powerful than the one in early October.
The source also indicated that Iran's target will be Israeli military facilities.
