US at UN: Strike on Okhmatdyt shows Putin's lack of interest in peace
A missile strike on the Okhmatdyt children's hospital in Kyiv demonstrates that Russian President Vladimir Putin has no intention of achieving peace in Ukraine, states US Permanent Representative Linda Thomas-Greenfield.
"As if there was any doubt that this was the case, yesterday’s attack makes abundantly clear: Putin is not interested in peace. He is committed to wreaking death and destruction in pursuit of his war of aggression," she said.
Additionally, the diplomat emphasized that the US will continue to support Ukraine until the war is ended and justice prevails. She also called on all other nations of the world to assist Ukraine.
"We will stand with Ukraine in its efforts to defend its borders and we will stand with Ukraine here in this Council," noted the US Permanent Representative to the UN.
During a briefing, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announced a meeting between Zelenskyy and Biden.
Earlier, it was reported on what Ukraine will receive from the NATO summit in Washington, including the country's irreversible path to the Alliance and enhanced air defense capabilities.
