Unknown object crashes and explodes in Poland

In Poland, an explosion occurred overnight on August 20. An unidentified object fell into a field and detonated, RMF 24 reports.
The incident took place in the town of Osiny in Lublin Voivodeship. According to media reports, an unidentified object fell onto a cornfield and later exploded. Local police received information that “an explosion occurred” and that “a flash was visible.”
Police found burned metal and plastic fragments, but no typical crater from the blast was observed.
No one was injured in the incident, although the explosion shattered windows in several nearby houses.
“Police officers are securing the area, and operations are being conducted under the supervision of the prosecutor. The military and relevant services have been informed,” the main police department reported.

This is not the first time unidentified objects have been found in Poland. In October 2024, an unknown balloon was spotted near the border with Belarus.
In addition, in March of last year, an unidentified object fell into a field near the Polish settlement of Miłakowo. In the following days, several more unidentified objects were found across Poland.
