Unknown drones strike Slavyansk-on-Kuban, fire breaks out near oil refinery

On the night of December 17, unknown drones again attacked Russia. Several settlements came under attack, including Slavyansk-on-Kuban, where an oil refinery is reportedly on fire, according to Russian channels.
At around 01:23 AM, local channels began reporting that explosions had been regularly heard in the Slavyansky district of Russia’s Krasnodar region since approximately 00:45.
In addition, subscribers of the SHOT channel said that a fire was visible in one of the towns following the explosions. At the same time, videos appeared on social media allegedly showing unknown drones striking an oil refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban. The footage also shows a glow from the fire.
About an hour and a half earlier, Russian channels reported explosions in Saratov, Engels, and in the outskirts of Yeysk. What exactly was targeted in these locations remains unknown.
No official comments have been issued on any of these incidents so far.
Strikes on Russian oil refineries
On December 14, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Defence Forces had struck the Afipsky oil refinery, an oil depot in Uryupinsk, as well as several Russian military facilities in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
In addition, several days earlier, on December 12, the General Staff said that Ukraine’s Defence Forces had hit the Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery in Russia’s Yaroslavl region. Strikes were also carried out on an ammunition depot and on concentrations of Russian forces in the Donetsk region.
