Breakfast is an essential meal that cannot be skipped. However, not all foods are suitable for consumption on an empty stomach, according to nutritionist Vira Kuryn.

Products to avoid in the morning

Sometimes people forgets that our health largely depends on our lifestyle. Therefore, it is worth being responsible and not lazy about our diet.

The nutritionist has named a list of products that are better to exclude from your breakfast if you want to feel good.

Coffee

Coffee in the morning can significantly affect your well-being, as it:

  • increases cortisol levels (which are already high in the morning)
  • irritates the stomach lining
  • stimulates the production of gastric juice

Fruit salads

It's better not to eat fruit salads in the morning. Here's how they affect health:

  • rapid rise in blood sugar
  • fruit acids irritate the stomach lining

Instant oatmeal

Everyone usually thinks that instant oatmeal is beneficial for health. However, this is not entirely true. Such a product in the morning provides:

  • minimal satiety
  • quick hunger afterwards
  • low nutritional value
  • lack of protein, which is necessary for us in the morning

Fresh juices

Drinking fresh juices in the morning is not a very good idea. Here's why:

  • contain a lot of sugar
  • lack of fiber
  • promote the development of insulin resistance and carbohydrate metabolism disorders

What happens if you don't eat breakfast at all

Complete absence of breakfast is harmful to health:

  • disruption of the hormonal system
  • disruption of the gastrointestinal tract
  • lack of glucose, which is necessary for our organs and for replenishing the glycemic depot in the liver
  • lack of energy.
