Uman without power, fires in Kharkiv, and damaged residential complex in Odesa: Russian attack aftermath
A Russian night attack caused a fire at the enterprise in Kharkiv and the museum of retro cars in the Kyiv region. High-rise buildings were affected in Odesa, and the city of Uman was left without electricity due to damage to an infrastructure facility.
Number of drones launched by Russia
According to Ukraine`s Air Force, Russia launched a total of 100 attack drones and various types of imitator UAVs from the directions of Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, and Chauda in Crimea.
A total of 65 drones were shot down in the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Kherson regions. Another 28 enemy imitator UAVs were lost locally; two flew toward Russia and Belarus. One drone remains in the airspace, with air defense work is ongoing,
The attack resulted in damage to private enterprise buildings, infrastructure facilities, multi-story and private residential buildings, and vehicles. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties. Special services are working to eliminate the consequences of the attack in the Odesa, Kyiv, Sumy, Poltava, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions.
Kharkiv
Around 00:35 a.m. Kyiv time in the Novobavarskyi district of Kharkiv, a drone strike hit a civilian enterprise, with a Shahed UAV striking a gas pipe, causing a massive fire over an area of 1,500 square meters. Production facilities caught fire.
By 02:36 a.m., the fire was localized, and extinguishing efforts are ongoing. More than 80 rescuers and 20 units of State Emergency Service equipment are involved. Preliminary reports indicate that two people - a 59-year-old woman and a 9-year-old girl - experienced acute stress reactions.
Odesa
The enemy attacked Odesa and the region not only with drones but also with a missile, which was successfully intercepted. Debris from downed drones shattered windows in four residential high-rises and six suburban houses in the Odesa district.
According to the local media "Dumska," among the damaged structures is the "Sea Symphony" residential complex, where parts of apartments on the 18th and 19th floors were destroyed.
In Uman, the Cherkasy region, an infrastructure facility was damaged, according to Mayor Iryna Pletnova. Energy workers are restoring power supplies, and local utility companies are operating on generators while trying to restore water and heat supplies.
Due to the power outage, the "Air Raid Alert" system is not operational in the Uman region. Police are responsible for alerting the population.
"All services are working to stabilize the situation in the utilities sector as quickly as possible. A crisis management headquarters has been established on-site to coordinate actions. The most important thing is that people are safe," said Ihor Taburets, the Head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration.
Chernihiv
The Russian army attacked the residential sector of Chernihiv with drones. According to the Head of the Regional Military Administration, Vyacheslav Chaus, homes and household structures were damaged due to the enemy attack. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties. Special services are on-site.
Kyiv region
Due to the enemy drone attack, debris from a downed target damaged a building housing a retro car museum. A fire broke out over an area of 600 square meters, which was extinguished. Preliminary reports indicate that nine vehicles were destroyed and 27 damaged in the hangar.
During the night drone raid, the capital itself also came under attack. Several enemy targets were recorded over the city. By around 04:10, Kyiv City Military Administration reported that the air raid alert was lifted. Preliminary reports indicate no consequences in the city.
