Ukrainians shocked by photo of apartment building after Russian attack: 'This is what Moscow should look like'
On the morning of January 2, Russia unleashed dozens of missiles of various types on Ukraine. The Ukrainian air defense forces successfully intercepted over 60 Kh-101/Kh555Kh-55 missiles and a dozen Kinzhal missiles. However, there were hits and falling debris in Kyiv and Kharkiv. One particular photo of the aftermath has stunned Ukrainians the most, according to social media sources.

Eyewitnesses captured the moment of the strike on a residential building in Kyiv. It is reported to be in the Solomianskyi district, although this has not been officially confirmed.
In the photo, a residential building is shrouded in smoke, with bright flames bursting from the windows of apartments. It is also visible that rescue services have arrived at the scene, evacuating local residents.

Massive attack on Kyiv
On the morning of January 2, 16 strategic bombers Tu-95 MS launched dozens of missiles. Besides cruise missiles, the Russians launched air-launched ballistic Kinzhal missiles Kh-47M2.
In Kyiv, debris falls were recorded in the Pecherskyi, Obolonskyi, Holosiivskyi, and Sviatoshynskyi districts.
There are currently disruptions in power and water supply. A civilian infrastructure object was also hit in the Podilskyi district, with damage to a gas pipeline in the area being reported.
Apart from Kyiv, there were several hits in residential areas in the city center of Kharkiv. A fire has broken out there, with casualties and fatalities being reported.
