According to the open data platform OpenDataBot, which analyzed the inflows to the three largest charitable funds, in June, Ukrainians transferred a record amount to the needs of the Armed Forces, despite an overall decrease in donation volumes for this year.

In total, during the first six months of 2023, 8.35 billion hryvnias were received into the accounts of the three largest charitable funds in Ukraine - United24, "Come Back Alive," and the Serhiy Prytula Fund. This is 22% less than during the second half of 2022.

The majority of the funds transferred by Ukrainians to the United24 accounts were designated for the needs of the Armed Forces - 4.93 billion hryvnias, which accounts for 89% of all donations received by this platform. The remaining 11% were collected for medical assistance and the reconstruction of Ukraine - 0.45 billion hryvnias and 0.16 billion hryvnias, respectively.

Meanwhile, in June, United24 received 2.4 billion hryvnias for defense - an absolute record. Moreover, this amount represents nearly half of all donations for defense in the first half of the current year.

The previous maximum of 2.24 billion hryvnias was collected by this platform in July 2022.

At the same time, the results of the donations for the Armed Forces in June were 4.8 times higher than the figures for the period from January to May of this year. During that time, United24 was collecting an average of 0.5 billion hryvnias per month for these needs.

The situation is similar to the other two charitable funds. In June, donations to "Come Back Alive" increased by 17% - 0.34 billion hryvnias compared to the "average monthly" 0.29 billion hryvnias from January to May of this year.

As for the Prytula Fund, the increase amounted to a staggering 37% - in June, Ukrainians donated 0.22 billion hryvnias, while in the previous five months, on average, 0.16 billion hryvnias were received into the accounts.
