Drones of the 155th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, with precise strikes, stopped several Russian attempts to carry out motorcycle assaults on Ukrainian positions, according to the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“Aerial reconnaissance units of the 155th Mechanized Brigade recorded several attempts to break through with motorcycle groups in the south and north of Pokrovsk,” the Land Forces said.
UAV crews first converted them from motorcycle to infantry groups and then destroyed them.
Battles for Pokrovsk
Over the past few months, the Russians have been trying to capture Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad, constantly intensifying their assault operations and bringing in new units.
On December 13, Russian propagandists were claiming the complete occupation of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region. In reality, however, the enemy is unable to break through the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defenses in the north of the city and is using thermobaric artillery.
Defense Intelligence special forces showed exclusive footage of assault operations in the Pokrovsk direction. The published video showed the storming of a building, the clearing of trenches, the shooting down of a Russian drone, the work of FPV operators, and medical assistance to the wounded. The episodes were filmed in November 2025.
The Special Operations Forces showed how, on the night of December 12, they struck enemy targets and Russian personnel in the Donetsk region in the Pokrovsk direction using FP-2 drones.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi explained that Ukrainian forces had to retreat from positions located approximately 5-7 km from Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region. According to him, it was not possible to rotate troops in these areas, and the enemy regularly found ways to infiltrate the fortifications.
