Crimea

Russian troops occupied Crimea in 2014. Since then, Russian troops have provided the peninsula with a large number of military facilities, equipment, and manpower.

Due to the large-scale militarization of Crimea, Russia provides a grouping of troops at the front in different directions in the war against Ukraine.

To stop the military potential of the occupiers in Crimea, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are constantly striking at the places where various Russian resources are concentrated in Crimea.

The Defense Forces have repeatedly attacked Russian illegally constructed crossing in Crimea, the Kerch Bridge. As early as April 2024, the media reported that the DIU was preparing a third attack on the Crimean bridge.

At the end of 2024, a drone hit the Russian Fedor Uryupin ship, which was seized by Russia from Ukraine in 2014. The incident occurred on December 23.
