The Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted an air strike on a Russian observation post in the temporarily occupied Oleshky, on the left bank of the Kherson region, according to the press service of the Special Operations Forces (SOF) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It is known that during reconnaissance in the occupied Oleshky, operators of one of the SOF units discovered a command and observation post (COP) of the invaders.

"The enemy target was struck with the help of attack UAVs. The command and control center was destroyed to the ground," the statement says.

According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, based on the intercepted conversation of the Russians, they are still shocked by the attack of the SOF.

What is known about the village of Oleshky

The village of Oleshky has been under Russian occupation since February 2022. Currently, the settlement is virtually uninhabited, while Russian troops use it for their aggressive purposes.

During the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, the village of Oleshky suffered the most from the Russian terrorist attack, from where the first reports of deaths came.

Currently, according to DeepState maps, a "gray zone" stretches from Oleshky almost to Nova Kakhovka.
