Ukrainian soldiers destroy new Russian radar station in Kramatorsk sector
In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian defenders struck Russian positions. The Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed a modern Garmon-M radar station, according to the Khortytsia operational and strategic group of troops.
This station, which has been in service with the motorized rifle units of the Central Military District of Russia since March 2024, was supposed to provide air control. However, it was destroyed by a Ukrainian FPV drone.
“So thanks to the skill and accuracy of Ukrainian pilots, the Russian Garmon-M has played its last chords in the Kramatorsk sector,” the military said.
The Garmon-M is the latest development of the Russian defense industry, designed to detect and track airborne targets. This radar station is an important component of modern air defense systems, providing rapid detection of both aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Garmon-M is capable of detecting air targets at a distance of up to 45 kilometers, which allows for a timely response to potential threats.
Recently, the Ukrainian military successfully destroyed the Russian Nebo-M radar station with ATACAMS missiles, causing significant losses to the Ukrainian air defense system.
