This morning, long-range Security Service of Ukraine(SBU) drones caused an explosion at the Bashneft-UNPZ oil refinery. The facility is located in the city of Ufa, Republic of Bashkortostan, 1,400 kilometers from Ukraine, according to RBC-Ukraine's sources.

It is noted that Ufa is one of Russia’s largest oil refining centers and supplies fuel and lubricants to the enemy’s armed forces.

After the explosions at the Bashneft-Ufimsky refinery plant site, fire trucks began arriving, and a column of black smoke rose above the plant. According to preliminary information, following the strike by the SBU A Special Operations Center drones, the fire broke out in the area of the ELOU-AVT-6 crude oil processing unit.

"This is already the third SBU deep strike in Bashkortostan in the past month — 1,400 kilometers from Ukraine. Such strikes demonstrate that there are no safe places deep in Russia’s rear. The SBU can reach any target on enemy territory that supports the war against Ukraine," an informed source said.

Attack on the Ufa refinery

As a reminder, in September, we reported that drones of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine attacked the oil refinery in Bashkortostan. After the kamikaze drones arrived, explosions were heard, and a large fire broke out. This facility is approximately 1,400 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

RBC-Ukraine showed the aftermath of the strike on the Russian plant, as well as the moment of the attack recorded by the Russians.

Over the past year, Russians have increasingly complained about drone attacks and explosions in various regions of the country.
