Ukrainian Secretary of National Security and Defense Council on possible new Russian attack on Kyiv
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, responded to whether Russians could launch a new offensive towards Kyiv, according to his interview with Nataliia Moseichuk.
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine stated that Russians currently do not have the same capabilities as they did in February 2022.
"They will not dominate here. They planned to do this even when they had completely different capabilities. Over these 2 years of war, we have knocked out the teeth they had in February 2022. Our troops surround them, surround them, surround them, and they are no longer there," Danilov said.
Danilov also touched on Russians seeking help from Iran and North Korea.
"If they were capable, they would not have turned to North Korea or Iran," the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine said.
Aid from Iran and North Korea to Russia
Iran has been supplying Russia with Shahed drones since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian forces use them to attack military and civilian infrastructure.
The US has imposed sanctions on the network producing Shahed drones.
In turn, North Korea is supplying missiles to Russia. The European Union has proposed sanctions against North Korea.
There have been known cases of attacks with these missiles in Ukraine.
