Partisans report Msta-S self-propelled howitzers transferred in Russia's Krasnodar region, likely heading to active frontlines, according to the ATESH partisan movement.

"Our agents detected an urgent transfer of self-propelled howitzers from Novorossiysk," ATESH wrote.

According to partisans, Russian forces, facing equipment shortages, are redeploying Msta-S howitzers from reserves initially intended for southern frontlines. These units are reportedly being sent to the most intense combat zones in Donetsk and Kursk regions.

Msta-S

The Msta-S is a Soviet-era 152mm self-propelled howitzer developed in the 1970s. Designed to destroy enemy positions, support ground units, and target armored vehicles, it has a firing range of up to 30 kilometers with specialized ammunition.

Its key advantage lies in high mobility provided by a tracked chassis, enabling rapid movement across diverse terrain. The howitzer remains in service in several countries that continue to rely on Soviet artillery systems.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that over the past day, November 18, Ukraine's Defense Forces eliminated 1,610 personnel. In particular, they destroyed:

  • 17 tanks;
  • 33 armored personnel vehicles;
  • 46 artillery systems.
