On Wednesday, August 28, as of 6:00 a.m. (according to the Kyiv time zone), a single enemy vessel was detected in the Black Sea. This ship is equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles, with a total salvo capacity of up to four missiles, according to the morning report from the Ukrainian Navy.

Meanwhile, no Russian ships were observed in the Sea of Azov.

However, two enemy vessels were spotted in the Mediterranean Sea, though neither was equipped with Kalibr missiles.

The military also reported that within the past 24 hours, in Russia’s interest, the following vessels passed through the Kerch Strait:

  • to the Black Sea - 9 vessels, 4 of which continued towards the Bosporus Strait;
  • to the Azov Sea - 5 vessels, 3 of which were moving from the Bosporus Strait.

The Ukrainian Navy emphasized that Russia continues to violate the 1974 International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) by disabling Automatic Identification Systems (AIS).

It is worth noting that Russia conducted massive shelling of Ukraine on August 26 and 27.

On the first day, when the enemy launched 127 missiles and 109 drones at Ukraine, four Kalibr missile carriers were recorded in the Black Sea, with a combined salvo capacity of up to 28 missiles.

On the second day, as well as today, only one missile carrier was present in the Black Sea.
