Ukrainian Minister urges France for immediate action on air defense system supplies
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba held talks with his French counterpart Stephane Sejourne. One of the topics of discussion was air defense for Ukraine, reports Kuleba.
According to the Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs, he discussed with his French counterpart the latest Russian strike, and its impact on energy infrastructure, as well as the economy and civilians.
"I thanked France for the steps it took in the past to provide Ukraine with additional air defense and urged Paris to step up its efforts to provide Ukraine with new systems capable of intercepting ballistic missiles," added the Minister.
He noted that both Kyiv and Paris know where such systems are. Some supply decisions can be made quickly, while others take time.
"But work on them must begin immediately. Urgent action is required," said Kuleba.
Shelling of Ukraine
Today, on April 11, the Russian occupiers once again launched a massive attack on Ukraine. They used ballistic missiles.
Currently, Ukraine has only a few air defense systems capable of shooting down ballistic missiles. One of them is Patriot.
Kuleba recently said that there are 100 free Patriot systems in the world, but Ukraine needs at least seven to start with.
