Ukrainian military destroy 6 Russian Shahed drones in the east
Ukrainian air defenders have destroyed six Russian Shahed UAVs in the east, according to the Air Command East.
"As of 7 p.m. in the area of responsibility of the Air Command East, six UAVs Shahed-136/131 have been destroyed," the statement said.
It is noted that four drones were destroyed in the Dnipropetrovsk region, and two were shot down in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Third air raid alarm due to MiG
Recall that this is already the third large-scale air raid alarm in Ukraine today, related to MiG-31K aircraft. During the second major alarm in Kryvyi Rih and Kropyvnytskyi, explosions were heard, and the Air Force warned of the launch of Kinjal missiles. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties.
In addition, on the evening of December 31, the Russians launched several groups of attack drones Shahed towards Ukraine. As of now, according to the Air Force, they are heading west, including through the Kyiv region. Air defense forces are currently operating there.
