Ukrainian marines destroyed an assault group of Russian paratroopers near Vovchansk, Kharkiv region. The Russian occupants failed to hide from Ukrainian drones, the Ukrainian Navy reports.

"On the occasion of Russian Paratroopers Day, we are revealing the liquidation of an assault group of Russian paratroopers of the 83rd Airborne Brigade near Vovchansk," the statement says.

According to the Ukrainian military, the scouts and soldiers of the Black Battalion of Mykolaiv Marines met the Russian troops with grenades, after which the Russians retreated to their trenches, where Ukrainian attack drones were hospitably waiting for them.

As of August 2, the Ukrainian military attacked 4 Russian control points.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces struck 2 areas where Russian personnel were concentrated. Air defense and radar strikes were also recorded.

Russia lost 1,100 soldiers and 42 artillery systems in the war against Ukraine over the past day.
