Ukrainian intelligence damages 3 helicopters on Russian territory, sources say
Ukrainian intelligence downed three helicopters in Russia. One of them was destroyed on the territory of the Russian Ministry of Defense air base, according to RBC-Ukraine sources in the special services.
At about 3 a.m. on July 21, Russian Mi-28 and Ka-226 helicopters were hit on the territory of the National Helicopter Center Мil&Kamov (Tomilino, Moscow region) as a result of sabotage of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.
A Ukrainian intelligence source reports that on July 24, a multi-purpose Mi-8 helicopter was also destroyed by a sabotage at the Russian Ministry of Defense's Kryazh air base in Samara.
National Helicopter Center Мil&Kamov is an aircraft manufacturing enterprise that specializes in developing, producing, and repairing helicopters (Mi and KA lines), as well as other rotary-wing aircraft. The company includes two research and development bureaus, Mil and Kamov Design Bureaus, a pilot production facility, as well as an experimental research complex and a test center.
“The information about the fire caused by the explosions at the enterprise has caused widespread publicity among the residents of the Moscow region. Yet, the Russian authorities, as usual, are hiding the facts of their negligence from the Russian population,” the source adds.
