The first North Korean troops will soon arrive in the Kursk region of Russia. They will help the Russian army, stated the head of Ukraine's Defense Intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, according to The War Zone.

As Budanov reported, the first North Korean troops are expected to arrive in the Kursk region as early as tomorrow, October 23. They will help protect the Kursk region from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

"We are waiting for the first units tomorrow in the Kursk direction," he said.

He noted that it is currently unknown how many troops will arrive and how they will be equipped.

"We will see after a couple of days," Budanov added.

North Korean soldiers may fight against Ukraine

According to sources from RBC-Ukraine, North Korean soldiers have already been brought to Russia for combat preparation against Ukraine. The Center for Strategic Communications released a video showing them receiving Russian military uniforms at a training ground in the Far East. New evidence of their presence in Russia has emerged today.

Subsequently, South Korea pledged to take "phased measures" against North Korea and Russia due to their deepening military cooperation.

According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukraine has information about the preparation of two units of North Korean soldiers - specifically, two brigades of 6,000 personnel each.
