Two Russian nationals were killed today in the Kherson region when their vehicle was blown up. Ukraine's Defense Intelligence (HUR) said the men had committed severe war crimes during the 2022 occupation of the Kyiv region, including in Bucha.

"On December 6, 2025, on the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and St. Nicholas Day, an operation by Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the resistance movement in the Kherson region eliminated two enemies and their vehicle," the statement said.

Footage shows a vehicle driving on a road moments before an explosion.

The intelligence service said the men belonged to the 76th Air Assault Division of the Russian Armed Forces. The unit is known for war crimes committed in the Kyiv region.

"This enemy unit committed particularly brutal war crimes during the 2022 occupation of the Kyiv region, including in Bucha, as well as in other directions of the Russia-Ukraine war," the agency wrote.

The intelligence service emphasized that every war crime committed against the Ukrainian people will face a just response.

In late November, Ukraine's Defense Intelligence said its fighters in occupied Berdyansk in the Zaporizhzhia region had eliminated Kadyrovtsy, who were running a business involving stolen fuel.

HUR also reported on November 21 that its fighters used drones to strike Russian radar systems and a naval helicopter in Crimea.
