Ukrainian reconnaissance men successfully attacked a Russian Pantsyr S-1 anti-aircraft missile and gun system in the Belgorod region. Two Russian war criminals were also wounded as a result of the attack, according to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.

According to the intelligence, the attack was conducted on February 29 near the village of Holovchyno, Hraivoronskyi district, Belgorod region.

"After the hit, the Pantsyr S-1 was disabled, and its crew suffered sanitary losses - two Russian occupants were wounded," the intelligence adds.

The cost of the complex is about $15 million.

Pantsir-S1

This is a Russian self-propelled anti-aircraft missile and gun system designed to provide close cover for military objectives from air attacks.

The main armament of the SAM is:

  • 2 twin 30-mm 2A38M cannons;
  • 12 57E6-E two-stage solid fuel anti-aircraft missiles.

Russia's losses in war against Ukraine

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces, over the past day, February 29, Ukrainian soldiers eliminated another 920 Russian occupants. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost 414,680 troops.

In the Tavria direction, Russia's losses amounted to 319 invaders. Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed 36 units of Russian equipment, including:

  • 5 tanks;
  • 13 armored carriers;
  • 2 artillery systems;
  • 11 vehicles and more.
