Ukrainian intelligence carried out a unique attack in the Zalyznyi Port area. A drone with laser guidance guided a missile at a Russian boat, destroying it along with its entire crew, according to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR).

On August 20, HUR fighters carried out an operation against Russian troops in the area of the temporarily occupied Zalyznyi Port in the Kherson region. An air-based missile struck a Russian army boat.

There were 5 Russian occupation forces on board. None of them survived the attack.

New tactics

A drone played a key role: it provided laser illumination to guide the missile. It was this combination that made it possible to achieve accuracy and effectiveness. The drone also recorded the moment of impact.

HUR drones disrupt Russian plans

HUR unmanned systems units are increasingly using strike drones. Both to intercept Russian aircraft in the air and for targeted attacks on ground targets.

The HUR emphasizes that the systematic work of operators significantly strengthens Ukraine's defense, reducing Russia's ability to gain tactical advantages on the battlefield.

Reconnaissance units demonstrate the high effectiveness of using drones, which successfully destroy Russian equipment and manpower. On the front lines, fighters are creating a virtual drone zone for Russian occupiers, intercepting and destroying their reconnaissance and strike drones right in the sky.

At the same time, the actions of the units are not limited to the front line. On the night of August 17, Ukrainian military reconnaissance drones attacked the infrastructure of the Liski railway junction in the Voronezh region of Russia. As a result of the Russian strike, train traffic was halted, the station's operations were disrupted, and the supply of ammunition and manpower to Russian troops was disrupted.
