Cyber experts from Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence carried out a special operation in Russia, posting a congratulatory message on local websites, according to RBC-Ukraine sources.
"DIU cyber experts conducted a special operation in honor of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence Day. They creatively greeted Russians by posting a congratulatory card on numerous Russian web resources," the source said.
When attempting to access sites like https://nonweb.ru/, https://www.sun-marina.investtorgi.ru/, and http://simferopol.in/, Russian users were greeted with a congratulatory message from Ukrainian intelligence officers.

The source adds this cyber operation is part of an ongoing series of hacks targeting Russian web resources and servers, aiming to disrupt information and infrastructure systems within Russia.
Special operations in Russia
This is not the first time the intelligence has conducted cyber operations in Russia. For example, in mid-August, spies paralyzed the work of an enterprise near Chelyabinsk that developed nuclear weapons.
In March, DIU hackers launched a large-scale DDoS attack on the servers of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
In November 2023, Ukrainian intelligence officers conducted a cyber operation against Rosaviatsiya, obtaining secret documents revealing the aviation crisis in Russia.
