Ukrainian gymnast named best at World Cup in Bulgaria

Ukrainian gymnast wins the individual all-around at the opening stage of the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Sofia, according to the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.
From April 4 to 6, the Bulgarian capital, Sofia, is hosting the opening stage of the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup for the new competitive season. Ukraine is represented at the tournament by two individual gymnasts and a national group team.
In the individual all-around, the victory went to Taisiia Onofriichuk - a participant in the upcoming Paris Olympic Games. She outscored her closest competitor from Bulgaria by 3.8 points and claimed her first-ever gold medal at a World Cup stage.
This marks the fourth consecutive all-around win this season for the 16-year-old Ukrainian – she previously earned gold three times at Grand Prix stages.
Finals in individual apparatus will take place tomorrow, April 6.
Ukrainian gymnasts victories
At the end of March, during the Grand Prix in Thiais, Ukrainian gymnasts claimed 9 medals. Taisiia Onofriichuk secured the all-around championship, winning 5 gold medals.
Before that, Onofriichuk and two other Ukrainians won a total of seven medals at the second Grand Prix stage in Spain.
In early March, two Ukrainians triumphed at the Grand Prix season opener in Estonia.
