If Ukraine does not receive the required amount of artillery ammunition from one source, it will work to secure supplies from other sources, according to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

"There is not a single situation that does not have a solution. So, If we don't get enough of artillery ammunition from one place, we are already thinking of the other place we can get it," the Foreign Minister says.

He emphasizes that whatever the price of supporting Ukraine for its partners, the price of ensuring peace in the world may be many times higher if our country does not win the war with Russia.

Kuleba adds that Ukraine continues to work with both parties in the United States to secure funding for the assistance.

"The European Union demonstrates its ability to make big decisions on its own, which is good. But we will keep working with both sides in the United States on making sure that we get decisions done," the Minister emphasizes.

One million shells for Ukraine

Late last winter, it became known that Ukrainian troops were facing a shortage of artillery shells. Therefore, in early May, the EU Council approved a decision to provide one billion euros in aid to Ukraine for joint purchases of ammunition and missiles. It was planned that European countries would provide Ukraine with one million shells by March 2024.

In addition to direct deliveries from EU member states' warehouses, joint purchases of shells have also been organized.

It is currently known that EU countries have not been able to fulfill the plan in full. According to Bloomberg, the EU will be able to provide Ukraine with 600,000 rounds of ammunition by March.
