Ukrainian forces liberate six villages in Donetsk - General Staff

Over the past two weeks, the Defense Forces of Ukraine have cleared a number of settlements in Donetsk region and inflicted significant losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
From August 4 to 17, the Ukrainian military, together with units of the Azov 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine, completely cleared the villages of Hruzke, Rubizhne, Novovodiane, Petrivka, Vesele, and Zolotyi Kolodiaz.
As a result of the battles, Russian troops lost almost one thousand servicemen killed, more than 350 wounded, and another 37 occupiers were taken prisoner.
Also, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed and damaged 11 tanks, 8 armored combat vehicles, more than a hundred units of automobile equipment, one multiple launch rocket system, 22 guns, and 106 drones.
In the Dobropillia direction, stabilization measures are ongoing. Only in the past day, the Ukrainian military captured another seven Russian servicemen.
In addition, by forces of the 7th Corps of Air Assault Troops together with adjacent units, the city of Pokrovsk was cleared of remnants of Russian sabotage groups.
Ukrainian units also advanced forward in several areas and entrenched at new positions.
Situation at the front
Previously, during the past day, 182 combat clashes were recorded.
The hottest remains the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian forces repelled 58 enemy offensive assaults.
