Ukrainian forces hit factory near Moscow producing Shahed drone components

Ukrainian defenders launched an attack on the Krasnozavodsk Chemical Plant on the night of July 7. There, the Russians, in particular, produce warheads for Shahed kamikaze drones, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The General Staff noted that the attack was carried out by units of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in coordination with other components of the Defense Forces.
"The enterprise produces pyrotechnic means and munitions, in particular thermobaric warheads for Shahed-type UAVs," the military command specified.
A series of explosions was reported in the city of Krasnozavodsk. In neighboring settlements, firefighting equipment began to move afterward.
The General Staff reported that the results of the attack are being clarified.
Krasnozavodsk Chemical Plant
The Krasnozavodsk Chemical Plant, located in the Sergiyevo-Posadsky district of the Moscow region, specializes in the production of dual-use components, including elements for munitions and industrial explosives.
The enterprise has strategic importance for Russia’s defense industry and is included in the list of facilities related to meeting the needs of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The plant has long remained closed to the general public, and information about its production was strictly controlled.
