Russian forces spent several days trying to advance into central Pokrovsk under thick fog. Their attempts failed, and they suffered heavy losses, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian troops have concentrated their largest formation near the Pokrovsk-Myronhrad agglomeration. The enemy remains highly active, but Ukrainian forces continue to repel attacks.

Pokrovsk

In Pokrovsk, search-and-assault operations are ongoing. Combat units from the Ground Forces, Air Assault Forces, assault regiments, and other Defense Forces components are involved.

"Over the past few days, the enemy tried to advance into central Pokrovsk using thick fog. These attempts were unsuccessful. Enemy forces are being eliminated within urban areas. Defense Forces hold designated lines in the northern part of Pokrovsk and control positions south of the railway, which are key for further de-occupation," the General Staff said.

Russian forces are also trying to bypass Pokrovsk and advance toward Hryshyne, northwest of the city. These attempts have been unsuccessful, with all assault groups destroyed before reaching their objectives. Russian supply lines near Pokrovsk are severed, while additional engineering barriers are being constructed and reinforced across other sectors.

Myronhrad

Russian forces are trying to infiltrate Myronhrad but have achieved even less success. All attempts by small assault groups to enter the city are destroyed.

"Ukrainian units hold the city's defenses firmly. Additional logistical routes are being organized to Pokrovsk and Myronhrad to ensure an uninterrupted supply for our units. In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy continues to concentrate its main efforts but suffers the heaviest losses and has been forced to deploy operational reserves," the General Staff said.

Pokrovsk direction: Latest updates

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has reported that the situation on the Pokrovsk front remains the most challenging along the line. Ukrainian forces are conducting counteroffensive operations while defending their positions.

The enemy once again took advantage of adverse weather, including thick fog, to infiltrate Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region. More than 300 enemy troops are currently in the city.

Earlier, the 7th Air Assault Corps reported that Russian forces tried to bypass Pokrovsk and seize Hryshyne, northwest of the city. These attempts were unsuccessful.
