Ukrainian forces destroy Russian troops, artillery, and armored vehicles in Zaporizhzhia region

Russian troops view Huliaipole as a strategic foothold for a further offensive toward Zaporizhzhia. The city's urban infrastructure allows Russia to covertly amass personnel and military equipment.
In addition, the city's dense infrastructure is being used by the invaders to set up command posts, deploy artillery firing positions, and launch drones.
Artillery and rare tank destruction
"As part of the plan to neutralize Russia's offensive capabilities within the area of responsibility of the 7th Airborne Corps, the 44th Separate Artillery Brigade named after Hetman Danylo Apostol carried out a series of effective strikes against Russian targets in Huliaipole," the statement reads.

Precision strikes were delivered against infantry concentrations, self-propelled artillery systems, howitzers, and other armored vehicles. Some of the Russian targets were detected directly at their firing positions.
Among the destroyed equipment was a Soviet T-55 tank. This is a medium tank designed for operations in conditions of nuclear warfare, which was adopted by the Soviet Army as early as the 1950s.
With a single drone strike, Ukrainian defense forces destroyed a Russian artillery ammunition depot in Huliaipole, Zaporizhzhia region.
In addition, servicemen of the 7th Airborne Corps recently destroyed 2 Russian Grad multiple rocket launchers on the Huliaipole-Polohy highway in the Zaporizhzhia region.
