The Ukrainian military destroyed two ground-based relay stations for attack drones and 5 Russian drone control centers, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On August 13 and during the night of August 14, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck two ground-based control relays for Geran/Gerbera strike drones in the Zaliznyi Port area of the Kherson region.

"A ground relay station facilitates the transmission of control and communication signals between the operator and the drone, extending its range and ensuring stable operation," the statement reads.

In addition, Ukrainian defenders carried out successful strikes on 5 Russian drone control centers in the following areas:

  • Chasiv Yar (Donetsk region)
  • Zaliznyi Port (Kherson region)
  • Luhove (Zaporizhzhia region)
  • Volfinsky (Kursk region, Russia)
  • Gordeyevka (Kursk region, Russia).

"Operations against key Russian military targets are ongoing. Ukraine's Defense Forces are consistently reducing Russia's ability to deploy unmanned systems and conduct combat operations," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasizes.

Overnight, drones attacked Moscow and the Leningrad region. Damage and a fire were reported in the area of the port of Ust-Luga. According to local authorities, air defense forces destroyed more than 50 drones.

In addition, an attack was reported on a Wildberries warehouse in the Tver region, approximately 150 kilometers from Moscow. Debris from a drone damaged the building's wall, causing a brief smoke incident.
