Ukrainian Forces capture over 100 Russian soldiers abandoned by commanders in Kursk
Ukrainian soldiers in the Kursk region captured more than a hundred Russian soldiers. The company made this decision after the military leadership abandoned them to their fate, the "I Want to Live" project reports.
It is noted that over 100 Russian soldiers, left behind by their commanders, decided to surrender on August 14.
"They can be understood. It's hard to fight when you're led by fools and embezzlers, and your flanks are 'covered' by Kadyrov's bandits, who abandon everyone and everything to avoid being captured themselves," the statement said.
The project also mentioned Russian General Lapin, who in 2022 was responsible for the defense of Kharkiv Oblast (during the rapid de-occupation of the region by Ukrainian forces) and is now responsible for the defense of Kursk.
Captured militants in the Kursk region
It should be noted that Ukrainian fighters are actively capturing Russian occupiers. According to Syrskyi, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, over 100 more Russian soldiers were taken prisoner by the Armed Forces of Ukraine the previous day.
Earlier, Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets held talks with his Russian counterpart Tatyana Moskalkova regarding a prisoner exchange amid the Ukrainian Armed Forces' operation in the Kursk region. This dialogue was initiated by Moscow for the first time.
