Last night, the fighters of Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) destroyed the Ivanovets missile boat of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, according to the Main Intelligence Directorate.
"Tonight, the fighters of the Special Forces Unit Group 13 of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine destroyed the missile boat Ivanovets of the Russian Black Sea Fleet," - says the statement.
The vessel was located on the roads of Lake Donuzlav in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
"As a result of a series of direct hits on the hull, the Russian ship sustained damage incompatible with further movement - Ivanovets listed sternward and sank," the DIU statement said.
According to intelligence sources, the estimated cost of the lost Russian ship is around 60-70 million dollars.
"The search and rescue operation by Russian occupiers in Donuzlav, according to preliminary information, was unsuccessful," the GUR added.

Ivanovets is a large missile boat of Project 1241 Molniya ("Lightning"), designed for the destruction of enemy surface ships, landing and transport vehicles, vessels at sea, base points, marine formations, and their cover, as well as for covering its ships and boats from surface and airborne threats. Armament includes 2x2 anti-ship missile launchers "Moskit", 1x1 76mm gun AK-176, 2x6 30mm AK-630 CIWS, and 1 SAM launcher "Strela."
