In the Russian-occupied Crimea, near the city of Saky, a radar station of the S-400 Triumf anti-aircraft missile system was destroyed, according to the Telegram channel Crimean Wind.

According to the monitoring channel, back on Friday, April 25, unknown drones severely damaged and possibly completely disabled the 96L6E radar.

The antenna of the station is heavily damaged, and repairs are only possible at factory facilities.

"Interestingly, at the end of March, Our Eyes noticed the transfer of the 96L6E radar in the direction of the city of Saky. And at the beginning of March, a similar 96L6E radar burned right on the road in Saky," writes Crimean Wind.

Radar of the S-400 Triumf SAM

The radar station of the S-400 Triumf anti-aircraft missile system is an important component of the air defense system developed by Russia. The radar of this system is capable of detecting and tracking various air targets, such as airplanes, cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and other aerial objects.

The S-400 radar has a high detection range – up to 600 km – which allows threats to be detected at long distances and responded to quickly. This makes the system one of the most powerful in the world for combating aerial targets at long distances.

The S-400 radar can simultaneously process a large number of targets, which makes it possible to ensure a high level of integration with other missile systems and control assets, allowing effective defense against aerial threats at all levels. It uses several types of missiles capable of destroying targets at different distances and altitudes, on which the success of the fight against multi-tasking and diverse threats depends.

Thanks to these characteristics, the S-400 Triumf SAM is an important element of the Russian air defense system and is actively used in various military operations.

Earlier, we wrote that fighters of the 43rd Separate Artillery Brigade, named after Hetman Taras Triasylo, destroyed a Russian launcher of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile system.
