Ukrainian troops repelled one of the largest Russian motorcycle assaults in the Pokrovske direction. The battle lasted more than 7 hours, according to the National Guard of Ukraine.
"Yesterday, one of the largest assaults by Russians on motorcycles was repelled. This is an event that will go down in history," the National Guard of Ukraine said.
According to the Ukrainian military, the Russian offensive in the Pokrovsk direction lasted a little over 7 hours.
Russian losses in Pokrovsk sector
Russia lost:
- up to 40 infantrymen
- about 13 motorcycles;
- 3 armored personnel carriers.
Situation in Donetsk region
In recent weeks, the Ukrainian military has liberated about 16 square kilometers in the Donetsk region.
According to the Chief Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, the Russian occupiers have not changed their plans and continue to try to push the Ukrainian Armed Forces units beyond the borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as to reach the administrative borders of these regions.
