Situation in Zaporizhzhia region
Recently, Russian military correspondents reported an alleged counteroffensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the junction of Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. Ukraine's Southern Defense Forces refuted these reports and explained the real situation on the front line.
Ukrainian military notes that the Russians are painting a distorted picture of the line of combat, thus trying to justify their previous false statements by spreading fabrications about an alleged Ukrainian counteroffensive.
In reality, Ukrainian soldiers are conducting reconnaissance and search operations and mopping up. From a military point of view, these actions do not constitute a counteroffensive.
Recently, the Ukrainian Defense Forces cleared the village of Ternuvate in the Zaporizhzhia region of Russians. The village is under Ukrainian control.
In January, the Russians spread information about the alleged occupation of the village of Ternuvate, but this was not actually true.
In 2026, Russia plans to intensify its offensive in the Zaporizhzhia region.
