The Ukrainian military destroyed two Russian air defense systems in the southern direction. They also eliminated two points - the command and control center for drones, according to the head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine Dmytro Pletenchuk.

“Minus two Rusian Pantsirs in our direction. The command post and drone control center are also there,” he says.

Pantsir air defense system

The Pantsir-S1 is a Russian self-propelled anti-aircraft missile and gun system (SAM) of land and sea-based design.

It is designed to provide close cover for civilian and military targets (including long-range air defense systems) against all modern and advanced air attack weapons.

It can also protect the defended object from ground and surface threats.

Situation at front

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian occupants attacked Ukrainian positions 14 times in the Kupiansk sector over the last day. 11 Russian offensives were repelled. 3 combat engagements are still ongoing.

At the same time, as noted by the Institute for War Studies, Russian troops have recently advanced near Vovchansk in the north of Kharkiv region. At the same time, the head of the Russian occupation administration admitted that the pace of Russian offensive operations had slowed.

According to the latest data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 38 combat engagements have been recorded at the front since the beginning of the day on June 5. Five Russian attacks continue in the Pokrovsk sector.
