Ukrainian defenders near Avdiivka destroyed Russian infantry moving through the forest, according to the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The night movement of enemy infantry was tracked by a UAV.
"From the sky, the soldiers adjusted artillery fire and tightly covered the place where they recorded the accumulation of occupiers' manpower," the statement says.
According to the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russians were destroyed in the Avdiivka direction by the fighters of the 1st Self-Propelled Artillery Division.
Situation in Avdiivka direction
As of March 4, Ukrainian defenders repelled 20 enemy attacks in the Avdiivka direction in the areas of Berdychi, Orlivka, Tonenke, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.
According to the Institute for War Studies, on March 3, positional fighting near Avdiivka continued, but there were no confirmed changes in the front line.
