According to geolocation footage from August 21 and 22, the Ukrainian Armed Forces advanced across their entire salient in Russia's Kursk region on these dates, according to the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

Geolocation footage published on August 21 shows that Ukrainian forces advanced to the eastern part of Komarovka (south of Korenevo and east of Sudzha). Russian sources claim that Russian troops repelled Ukrainian attacks in this area.

Meanwhile, Russian war correspondents report that Ukrainian forces operating northeast of Korenevo captured Semyonovka and advanced to the southern part of Levshinka. They also claim that Ukrainian forces made minor progress in the northern part of Martynovka (northeast of Sudzha).

Additional geolocation footage from August 22 indicates that the Ukrainian army made minor advances in the southern part of Russian Konopelka (east of Sudzha).

According to Russian war correspondents, units from the Russian "Dikaya Division of Donbas," including the "Arbat," "Pyatnashka," and "Sarmat" battalions, repelled the Ukrainian forces at Nechayev (north of Sudzha). They also reported that Ukrainian forces continued to clash with Russian forces in the areas of Glushkovo, Korenevo, Sudzha, and Belovo in the Kursk region.

Additionally, Russian sources claim that on the evening of August 21, Ukrainian forces conducted a reconnaissance-in-force near Zabrama in the Bryansk region. However, Russian troops, including border guards and Chechen special forces from "Akhmat," repelled the attack.
