Ukrainian Armed Forces strike Russian headquarters near occupied Melitopol - Video
Today, September 19, the Ukrainian defense forces successfully struck the Russian headquarters near the occupied city of Melitopol, according to the Ukrainian Armed Forces StratCom.
"The Ukrainian Armed Forces hit the occupant's headquarters near the temporarily occupied Melitopol," the report says.
This happened around 07:00 am.
The Mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, stated today that at least five explosions were heard in the city this morning.
"In the still-occupied Melitopol, the occupiers' air defense is not working out. Local residents report more than five explosions," wrote Fedorov.
According to him, the loudest explosions were in the Autocolourlite area.
The situation in Melitopol
Russian forces occupied Melitopol in the early months of the full-scale invasion. However, recently, there have been frequent reports of explosions targeting Russian military bases in the city.
Ukrainian military forces are conducting offensive operations in the Zaporizhzhia region. Battles are taking place on two fronts - in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions.
