Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy another Russian Su-34 fighter jet
The Ukrainian military has shot down another Russian Su-34 aircraft. The plane was destroyed on Monday, February 26, according to Ukrainian Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk.
"Minus one more Su-34 in the eastbound direction! Yesterday, Russian pilots managed to evade our missiles, but it will not always be like that!" he writes.
Oleshchuk advises the Russian occupiers to see their families before each flight, just in case.
"Because who knows whether they will be lucky or not this time," he adds.
Russian aircraft destruction
In recent days, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have downed 9 Russian aircraft, including this one. Thus, on February 23, RBC-Ukraine's sources in the Ukrainian Defense Forces reported that a Russian A-50 aircraft was shot down over the Sea of Azov. This is the second A-50 that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have downed since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
On February 21, a Su-34 was shot down. In addition, on February 19, the Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down two more Russian aircraft in the east. According to Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, these aircraft were carrying out anti-aircraft missile strikes on Ukrainian positions. On February 18, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed a Russian Su-34 fighter bomber in the east.
On February 17, it became known that the Ukrainian Air Force had destroyed three Russian aircraft - two Su-34 fighter-bombers and a Su-35 fighter. They were also shot down on the eastern front.
