Yesterday, on 1 July, Ukrainian pilots struck a Russian ammunition depot in the temporarily occupied Crimea, according to the commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykola Oleshchuk

Ukrainian aviation continues to carry out combat missions and launch missile and bomb strikes on the Russian positions, as well as destroy military facilities in the deep rear of the Russians.

"On 1 July 2024, Ukrainian pilots delivered a devastating strike on an ammunition depot in Crimea," he adds.

Explosions in Crimea

Explosions are regularly heard in the temporarily occupied Crimea as a result of successful strikes by the Ukrainian Defence Forces or other operations. For example, only recently Ukrainian soldiers struck the Russian Space Surveillance and Communications Centre.

Also, on 25 June, a massive fire broke out near Cape Chauda in Crimea. The cape is home to Russian military facilities, including the site of the Shahed launch.
