During a morning air attack, Russia may have launched up to 20 UAVs, one of the enemy regime's main objectives being to keep Ukrainians in a constant state of tension, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing Yurii Ihnat, Spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

According to Ihnat, preliminary reports indicated up to 20 enemy drones in the morning, though the exact number would be released after air defense operations conclude. Ihnat particularly confirmed that drones had targeted the Odesa region.

The Spokesman of the Air Force Command added that one of the enemy's ongoing objectives is to keep Ukraine on edge.

At the same time, some drones entered Ukrainian airspace from the north in the direction of the Kyiv region.

Night shelling

"As for the overnight attack, around 50 drones were recorded. At least 38 of them were combat drones of the Shahed type," Ihnat stated.

The Air Force spokesman noted that Ukrainian air defense forces downed about half of the drones, including approximately 20 Shahed UAVs.

"Right now we're under a new wave of attack. So the results of the overnight air defense work, which we usually publish around 9:00 a.m. (Kyiv time - ed.), will likely be delayed slightly, so we can include data from this morning's strike and report on the entire attack," Ihnat explained.

Russian strikes on Ukraine

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has regularly attacked Ukrainian territory with missiles, artillery, guided aerial bombs, and drones. Drone assaults, in particular, occur nightly. This morning, the enemy used a Shahed drone to strike a building belonging to a territorial recruitment and social support center in Odesa.
