Ukrainian Air Force revealed details of night attack: 2 types of missiles and nearly 40 Shahed drones
Russian forces attacked Ukrainian territory with S-300 and Kh-59 missiles, as well as with strike drones of the Shahed type, overnight from March 7 to March 8. A total of 37 drones were launched, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
"On the night of March 8, 2024, the enemy attacked the south and east of Ukraine, using one S-300 surface-to-air missile, two guided aviation missiles Kh-59, and 37 Shahed-type strike UAVs (launch area of the UAVs - Balaklava, Crimea)," the statement from the Ukrainian Air Force reads.
To counter the air attack, air defense missile units of the Air Force, mobile fire groups, and the Defense Forces of Ukraine, as well as electronic warfare means, were involved.

It is noted that as a result of the combat operations, 33 Shahed UAVs were shot down within the Odesa and Kharkiv regions.
