On the night of August 31, Russians attacked Kyiv with drones for the fourth time in a week. The air defense system shot down all the UAVs flying toward the capital, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA).

“The fourth air attack on Kyiv this week! As during the last attacks, the enemy again used attack UAVs, preliminary similar to the Shahed,” said Serhii Popko, head of the KCMA.

According to Popko, barrage munitions were hitting Kyiv throughout the night, in waves and from different directions, the air raid alert in the capital was announced four times and lasted almost 4 hours in total.

“All the Russian attack drones that threatened Kyiv were destroyed by air defense forces and means. There were no destructions or casualties in the city,” he noted.

Russian attack on Kyiv

Kyiv was alerted several times on the night of August 31. The main reason was the launch of kamikaze drones. After midnight, the threat of ballistic missiles was added to the drone danger.

The last of the alerts in Kyiv was announced around 7:30 AM, also due to the threat of drones. It was reported that air defense was operating in the Kyiv region.

The Kyiv Regional Military Administration said that there was already information about downed targets. There were no hits or casualties in the region, but fires broke out in three districts.
